Why should I recruit you ?

At the end of my second track and field season this year, I experienced a significant improvement of my times on the track. I discovered the great importance of team training, workout planning with a coach, self-questioning and I learned to give the best of myself at each and every race. But I believe that I still have a lot to learn and thus, that my potential for improvement is high. Keeping learning from everyone around me and improving as much as I can is a highly motivating challenge for me. Joining a US university as a member of a team will allow me to share my motivation with the group and profitfrom everyone’s experience.
Why do you want to compete at US Colleges?
Before completing my engineer degree, I would like to take this opportunity given by both my school and USA Project to give myself the best chance to improve and learn as an athlete while having an experience abroad as a student in my field of study.
What do you want to achieve in Track/XC?

My top priority is simply to improve as much as I can and see where it can lead me.
On the track I will do my best to lower as far as possible my PB’s on my favorite distance, the 1500m, but also on the mile, the 1000m and the 800m. This achievement will become possible thanks to a constant self-questioning and a work on my weaknesses (such as the running posture and technique).
On top of that I will be looking forward to becoming a complete middle distance runner by improving my 10k PB and devoting myself 100% to the XC season, a sport that I enjoy very much.
College and life goals?

I am currently studying in the field of Aerospace/Mechanical engineering. Spending my last years of study in the US and benefiting from advanced lectures provided by American universities in this field would be a major asset on top of my engineer degree. After graduating I intend to work in the aerospace industry to address the technological challenges of tomorrow.

Anything to add?

Even though I already knew high level sport through my practice of cycling at national level for 4 years before starting to run, I have learned how crucial it is to train with a group and to constantly be surrounded by teammates. I believe that I made progresses by listening not only to my coach, but also to my teammates and the athletes I met during races.
