Why should I recruit you ?
First of all, I have a true passion for track and field since I was five years-old. Moreover, I am strong-willed and very focused on everything that I do, therefore I would be an ideal recruit for your university. My school results are very good and I am truly gifted when it comes to reconciliating my studies and my track and field trainings. Since I’ve been studying in Montpellier, I kept on getting better by beating my records by 3 seconds in one year. I’ve been as well on two national podiums this year. Unfortunately, the current French system did not allow me to run better times, however when I’m going into a championship my motivation is so high that I am capable of pushing my limits to achieve better results than expected.
My main asset is the final kick which leads me to always be in good positions in championships.
Why do you want to compete at US Colleges?
I would love to compete in the US because the level there is really challenging for me and this would give me the opportunity to be better at what I aim in life, so to say being a professional athlete and to become a teacher at a university level. Moreover I would be able to go to class and to be confronted to great athletic performing conditions at the same time. In France, sport and competition are not as important as in the US and this way I would be able to achieve my dreams. I reckon that an American college can teach me so many things at a scholar level and at a sport level. Going to your university would be give me opportunities that I wouldn’t have anywhere else. Moreover, I am sure that this experience would obviously make me a better person.
What do you want to achieve in Track/XC?
On the track my goals are to beat my own records on my favorite distance, the 800m.
I can also run the 400m and the 1500m.
On the short-term I aim to win a second medal at the French championships this summer, especially a gold medal. On the medium-term a national selection at the European’s U23 on the 800m would be amazing.
College and life goals?
If I am getting into an American university my wish would be to reach the Master’s Degree in kinesiology. I am the kind of person who has clear goals in life and this is very important for me to have a structured and healthy life. As I said earlier, I would really enjoy being a teacher in college whether in France or in the USA. I am always open to learn new things and enjoy learning so much because it helps me become a better person every day. This way learning is a real pleasure but teaching others would be a dream and this is why I would love to join an American university.
